Cian O'Halloran

Cian graduated from University College Cork in 2017 with a BSc in Physiology. He is currently undertaking a Masters of Research (MRes) at the University of Manchester, where his dissertation will focus on the underlying molecular mechanisms surrounding the circadian clock and fibrosis. He is particularly interested in the translation of gene therapy to clinical practice, and the novel approaches gene editing might offer in revolutionising a vast breadth of industries, ranging from agriculture to medicine. Aside from his keen interest in science, Cian likes to keep fit and is a member of Crossfit 3D Manchester. He represents the University Rugby team and he enjoys nothing more than a hot cup of Barry's tea and a game of 30 seconds with his friends to relax.
